The Oppo Find X5 came out in the spring of 2022. As we head into 2023, the next-generation Oppo Find X6 and Find X6 Pro is getting ready to come out. Leaks about these new phones have been going on for a while, and the first official announcements have been made.
We think we can already tell you about things that will be permanent in the new series, like the chipset, cameras, and screens they will have. We don’t know anything else about the new Oppo Find X6 yet.

When will the Oppo Find X6 be released?
The company hasn’t given us a date for when the Find X6 will be out. We can, of course, use the models from the past to get an idea of when it might happen. These are the dates when the last generation came out:
- March 2022: Oppo Find X5
- March 2021: Oppo Find X3
As you can see, Oppo usually releases new phones in the Find X series in March. This makes it very likely that the Oppo Find X6 will come out in March 2023.
Based on what Oppo has done in the past, it is likely that the new phones will be released all over the world, not just in Asia. The US market is likely to be left out of the equation, as it has been in the past.
You may be wondering what happened to the Find X4 at this point. Well, the number 4 is thought to be bad luck in China, where Oppo is based, so the company probably decided to skip it and go straight to the X5 range.
How much will the Oppo Find X6 cost?
Again, we don’t know for sure what the Find X6 range will cost, so we have to look at prices for older models to get an idea. We break them down by model to make things easier. First, the normal range:
Oppo Find X5 cost €999.
CNY 4499 Oppo Find X3 (only available in China)
Professional models:
Oppo Find X5 Pro costs €1,299 in Europe.
The Oppo Find X3 Pro costs €1,149.
More reasonably priced Lightweight range:
Oppo Find X5 Lite costs €499 in Europe.
Oppo Find X3 Lite costs €449 in Europe.
Finally, the Neo, though we never received a Find X5 Neo, so that line may not have had launch continuity:
Oppo Find X3 Neo costs €799 in Europe.
Based on what we know about Oppo, it doesn’t look like the price will change too much from the Find X5 from the last generation. These are well-known phones that compete with Samsung and Xiaomi.
Since the Oppo Find X6 won’t come out for at least three more months, it’s too soon for leaks on the web to show what its specs will be.
Even so, rumours keep spreading, to the point where Oppo has started to paint its first pictures with official announcements. If we start with the design, we can see that Oppo might be doing something different from what has been done before.
The leaker EvLeaks shared the following picture, which shows that the design of the back of the terminals, where the cameras are, has changed a lot.
The picture doesn’t say if it’s from the Pro model or not, but it probably is since one of the lenses looks like it’s made for a periscope. In particular, the one in the camera module’s lower left corner.

In particular, the one in the camera module’s lower left corner. If that’s the case, it’s a big change from the moulded look of the last two generations to something much more simple, even if it has a big camera and a big Hasselblad logo.
We’ve heard a lot about chipsets, which are the actual specs. Oppo has already said that its next Find X series phone, the Find X6, will have the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
But that doesn’t mean that the 8 Gen 2 will be on every Find X6 phone. Digital Agent 007, who leaked information on Weibo, says that the Find X6 Pro will use the 8 Gen 2, while the regular Find X6 will use the older 8+ Gen 1.
That sounds good, but we can’t really count on it because it came from a leaker about whom we haven’t heard good things in the past. It’s also possible that there will be more of these.
A well-known Digital Chat Station leaker also says something about the screens, saying that the X6 Pro will have a 2K panel and the X6 will have a 1.5K panel.
A 2K panel has a horizontal resolution of 2,040 pixels, while a 1.5K panel has a horizontal resolution of 1,220 pixels. The display technology itself isn’t new, but we hope that the Find X6 will eventually be able to handle at least 120Hz AMOLED panels.
On the camera front, our source, GSM Arena, says that the back of the Find X6 Pro will have three 50MP sensors: a 1-inch Sony IMX989 for the main camera with OSI (the same sensor that found in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra).

It is paired with another IMX890 sensor that is used for both ultra-wide-angle optical zoom and 2.7x optical zoom with OIS. It looks like the OnePlus 11 Pro will have the same camera setup, which isn’t a big surprise.
Digital Chat Station rumours also say that the Find X6 Pro’s 1-inch IMX989 sensor, along with the phone’s MariSilicon X image processing chip, will let it record 4K HDR video in night mode. This could make this phone one of the best choices for taking videos when there isn’t much light.
On the regular Find X6, we should see a similar setup, but with two 50MP sensors and a third 32MP sensor. The one with the lower resolution will be the telephoto sensor.
